Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

When you create an account and use Forged Axis, we collect:

• Your name and email address, to create and identify your account
• Health and fitness data you log yourself — workouts, sets/reps/weights, nutrition and macro entries, bodyweight, recovery (sleep, energy, stress, soreness, water, mobility minutes, and sauna, cold plunge or massage), and any injuries or limitations you record
• Photos you choose to upload — progress photos, food photos used for AI-estimated macros, and photos of food lists the AI reads
• Form-check videos you choose to send your coach (1-on-1 coaching), with the lift and any note you add
• Messages you send through in-app coach/client chat and weekly check-ins
• Which lessons you've read in Learn, and the items on your coach's list you tick off
• A unique account identifier used internally to keep your data separate from other users'
• Your subscription plan and its purchase record — which plan you're on and the receipt Apple (in the app) or Stripe (on our website) sends us — so we can unlock your plan. We never see your card details
• Crash and error reports — what went wrong, on which page, and your device and browser type — so we can find and fix bugs. These aren't tied to your name or email

Form-check videos are stored privately: only you and your coach can watch them, through links that stop working after 10 minutes. Each one is deleted 90 days after your coach replies, unless your coach keeps it (for example, to compare a before and after with you). The app's exercise demo clips are licensed animations or short clips Devin films of himself; they never show members.

If you don't have an account and type your email into an "Email me this" box on one of our free tools, program pages or the plan quiz, we keep your email, your first name if you gave it, and the answers behind what you asked for (like your calculator numbers), so we can send it to you.

Our website also remembers how you first found us (for example a link from Instagram or a Google search) in a small first-party cookie for up to 90 days, so we know which of our posts and pages actually help people. It isn't used for ads and isn't shared.

2. How we use it

We use this information only to run the app itself — authenticate you, show you your own training and nutrition history, let a trainer coach you if you're on a coaching plan, and generate features like personal records, streaks, and AI-estimated food macros. We don't use your data for advertising, we don't build advertising profiles from it, and we don't sell it to anyone.

If you asked us to email you something, we send it, plus a short series of emails from Devin over about two weeks with training and nutrition tips and what Forged Axis offers. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and the series stops on its own if you create an account.

3. Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your personal data. A few outside services help run the app, and each only sees what it needs to do its specific job:

• Our database provider (Supabase), which stores your account and app data securely
• Our hosting provider (Vercel), which runs the Forged Axis website and app
• Apple, which processes subscriptions you buy in the app through the App Store
• Stripe, which processes subscription payments on our website — we never see or store your full card details
• Sentry, which receives the crash and error reports described above
• Resend, which delivers the emails you ask for from our free tools and the email series that follows
• Food-database providers (FatSecret, USDA FoodData Central, and Open Food Facts) used to look up nutrition info when you search for or scan a food, or for the foods read off a food list you photograph
• Anthropic's AI, used to estimate macros from a food photo you take, read a nutrition label you photograph, read the foods and amounts on a food list you photograph, estimate a meal you describe in words, read a cardio machine screen or workout summary you photograph, and power the in-app "Forged Axis AI" assistant (which receives your question plus your training profile, workouts, bodyweight, and food totals so its answer fits you). We only use services that are required to protect your data at least as well as this policy does.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Forged Axis, our users, or the public.

4. Your choices & data deletion

You can review and edit most of your own data directly in the app, and turn AI features off anytime in More, and unsubscribe from our emails with the link at the bottom of any of them. We keep your data for as long as your account is open. You can delete your account anytime in the app (More → Account → Delete account, or “Delete account” at the top of the sign-up and subscription screens): that permanently and immediately deletes your account, your logged data and your progress photos, and can't be undone. Any form-check videos you sent are deleted within a day. A website subscription is cancelled when you delete; an App Store subscription is billed by Apple, so cancel it in your Apple ID settings first. 5. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your device and our servers. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

6. Children's privacy

Forged Axis is not directed at children. As stated in our Terms of Service, you must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. Continuing to use Forged Axis after an update means you accept the revised policy.
